I would like to give Shana a warm welcome to the Newcastle Bands Team and look forward to her contributions in the coming weeks.

Thanks to Shana for stepping up and getting involved with the Newcastle Music Scene, we are still open to additional help to maintain this site and keep it up to date. if you think this sounds like you please contact me.

Any ideas for the site are valid, if you want to take it in a new direction.. let's talk about it. In the meantime, please check out the bands already listed or check out the forum (also up for grabs/facelift/whatever) Newcastle Bands Music Forum.

If you can spare some time, any time infact to help out, i can fully support your contribution to the site with technical backup etc.. Newcastle Bands has gone through many transitions and now i believe it is time for another... If you think you can help transform this site let me know.

One Good Suggestion

One Good Suggestion is a 5-piece funk rock fusion band with a slight twist of a punk sound. The members comprise of Jake vocals Josh on guitar, banjo and backing vocals, Jonas on bass and double bass, Joe on guitar, mandolin and backing vocals Caleb on drums.

Coming from a small town called Merriwa they have been together for about 4 years and within that time developing their own unique sound.

Jakes vocals bring a slight punk twist to the mix of the band with his high screams like in The Knights Templar and high vocals like in Stellar Epidemic. Yet can be soft, smooth and low like in the song Thomas Dreaming that shows the incredible vocal range Jake has. The rest of the members bring an amazing sound of funk rock fusion with a massive amount of experimental to top it off!
