Artist Description

Unemploi!able were formed in 2002 after the break-up of local Clash covers band Deny, featuring: Agus Bagus (vox), Dylemma (Bass), and Brian Powell (Vox). Munsta and Kim Wall, friends of the band members, joined the band as guitarists and the Blacklisted (as they were then known back then) soon started regular practices (without a drummer) around the end 2002. Brian (the founding member of Deny) left the band at the end of 2003 to move to Sydney. After a brief stint of doing nothing at all, the band resumed practice in mid 2004 with Agus Bagus, Munsta and Dylemma, with Kim turning up occasionally and still without a drummer. A few drummers came in and out of practice to help the band rehearse, but it was not till In November 2004 that band found a permanent drummer - Morpis. Despite not having a kit, no transport, and not actually being a drummer, Morpis helped the Unemploi!able play a its first few gigs. Captain Splinter was recruited on drums in early 2005 for the simple fact that he had drum kit. With influences such as The Exploited, The Clash, Rancid and Operation Ivy, Unemploi!able play a unique blend of hard edged punk and ska.
